Durlston Country Park has been designated a National Nature Reserve by the government’s environmental agency, Natural England.
The status of National Nature Reserve bestows one of the highest conservation designations in the country and is the first one awarded since Natural England was established in 2006.
Durlston’s stunning scenery is home to an abundance of wildlife including guillemots, peregrine falcons and 35 species of butterflies.
