The recently opened Burngate Stone Centre, based just outside Langton Matravers, is holding an ‘Introduction to Stone Carving’ course on Sunday 7th December.

Get to grips with the basics of stone carving in this stunning Purbeck setting. Try your hand at carving a flower or a fish from the selection of templates available!

The centre will be running other courses in stoneworking skills throughout the year. The courses are aimed at everyone from complete novices to experienced stoneworkers.

A lot of the courses will be relevant to anyone who has an interest in carving and sculpture, making them attractive to artists and crafts people. The centre also has some workspaces available for hire.
